Networking Secrets That Work

Many of us, online marketers tend to focus on getting traffic online via Syndication Networks like Traffic Swarm and Blogrush, which is good...but once offline, do we keep going at it? Do we continue to network and let others know about what we do? Here's a few tips to work the crowd....

• Plan to talk to 3 new people and gain 3 items of information. Find people on the guest list you would like to meet and introduce yourself to them.
• Remember that everyone there wants to network . The chances of rejection are extremely slim.
• Focus on people who are pleasant and welcoming.
• It is better to be interested than interesting. Let the other person do most of the talking. Be a good listener and encourage other people to talk about themselves.
• Small talk about travel, sports, hobbies or family- is the foundation of any relationships.
• Remember to ask for the other person's business card and for permission to call him/her later. Write down the agreed date on the back of the card...and transfer this information and any other useful information to a notebook, so that you are well prepared when making that vital folow up call.
• Last but not least : Know that you are a likeable person and 99 percent of the people in the crowd are as nervous as you. Believe in Yourself and your expertise. Most of all...Enjoy the networking session and have some FUN!
